The goal of the project:
powerful, full-body exercise with an emphasis on balance and core utilization

The requirements:
a vehicle fast enough to beat the train, sturdy enough for potholes, secure enough to
lock up on the street and agile enough to survive new york city traffic.

The results:
A 3.4 gear ratio (90 gear inches) and clipless pedals
Sizable 4130 Chromoly with 1.9" to 1.5" puncture resistant tires and a 100mm fork
"Pit locks" lockable quick release and stem cap
A relatively steep head angle, short stem and disk brakes
Clipless pedals assist in the handling and make it possible to run such a high gear.
